I have been capturing MPEG2 with my AIW7500. Sometimes my computer freezes in the middle of the capture, and I have to restart. The file that I have, be it 200 MB or 5 GB won't play.

When I click on this "interrupted capture" the file player says 0:00 under the "time" and nothing happens.

Is there a way for me to repair or otherwise correct these so I can just pick up where I left off, instead of starting from scratch?

    HELP!

Use the mpeg tools in TMPEGnc or whatever application your using and try de-mulitplexing and then re-mutiplexing the file. More than likely it's the file header that's corrupted and this should correct it. It's worth a try anyhow.

i did this, and at the end of the process

(i used the 'de-multiplex" tab, choosing the video and then the audio, giving me an m2v and an mp2 file. Then, I used the multiplex to combine them into an mpeg2 file again.)

After it finished, it said "packet 30... blah blah, there may be playback error"

I played it and it played perfectly. If I want to merge these files later will it be okay? I'm not sure what the warning meant...

THANKS FOR THE SOLUTION THOUGH - I'M F*ING ECSTATIC!!
