MovieFactory XSVCD Problems

I have been making some sample XSVCDs using TMPGEnc and a 4,000 kbps constant bitrate. They play perfectly on my Apex 660 and Apex 1500 players when I burn the CD using Nero 5.5. When I use the same MPEG2 files but create the menus and burn the CD using Ulead's DVD MovieFactory playback is jerky whenever I exceed the normal SVCD specs.

Have other people had problems getting smooth playback on XSVCDs created with MovieFactory? It seems to work fine for me on DVDs or SVCDs that are in spec, but not when I exceed the specs. Perhaps the problem is that MovieFactory seems to turn the laser off and on when it burns the CD while NERO burns in the disk at once mode. Any ideas or suggestions as I like the better menu structure in MovieFactory. Thanks.

Same problem here...
DVD player: Mustek 520

Plus there's one thing that annoys me:
although selecting Svcd - ISO level 2 and Mode2/XA (this one is greyed), Nero (5.5.9.2) keeps showing the usual capacity of 650-700 Mb while Ulead Movie Factory allows burning 750-800 Mb on the same discs (i.e. 74-80 min.).

Is it the same to you?
