I need some help as I am a little new at analog stuff:
1) What is the resolution of a typical North American TV?
2) With my ATI TV Wonder PCI card, I have the option to capture in MPEG-2 format @ 640x240 MTSC, 8.00 M Bit/second(This is listed as the "best" quality). I can also increase that to 15 M Bit/second. Will that increase quality?
3) Since I am capturing it MPEG-2 format, do I need to re-encode it with TMPEGEnc or would you just leave it the way if it is to burn an SVCD or DVD?
4) What file format and resolution would you capture analog video in, whether it be from a VCR or an older video camera?
I have heard wonderful things about this forum, I hope you wouldn't mind sharing.
Thanks,
Magma
