I have scoured the HP web pages, sent a dozen e-mails, and have been on phone with their tech nonsupport for an hour to no avail (to be fair, I have had good support from them on other issues).
I bought an HP computer with the DVD200i preinstalled and with no disks. I need the HP DVD200Bitset.exe compatability utility (changes the bitsetting mode for DVD+RW disks). Even though HP's web sites discusses its use, they do not acknowledge its existance on phone or e-mail.
Would somone be so kind as to either give me a valid link to download or easier, e-mail the file to me at tsfloyd@bigfoot.com.
Thanks, I am tempted to go and buy a DVD200i with installation disks, copy the needed file, and then return for refund. But then why should I hurt a retailer over an inability for HP to give me the service I need. I would buy the utility if I could even get HP to present that as an option.
PS - the DVDplusRW.org command prompt utility won't work on my unit for some reason: HP P4, HP DVD200i, Win XP
