  1. OK good point for baker for his nice point of view to make a DVDr with the 1/2 D or CVD format ...
but I wonder if we can get better quality than CVD ... to get a equivalent quality like SVCD ... is it possible ?
any matrix to change or equivalent setting ...
i am trying sevral settting ... (only using DVD2SVCD) to get a better cvd quality ... but it seems to be impossible to get a SVCD quality ....!!!

or does anyone has try to resize (DVD2SVCD USER) to DVD format to make the mpg2 video ?

i try the SVCD format on DVD but it seems that when I read it on PC or standalone player, the video has a kind of Zoom on it !!! that 's crap!
we can't see the whole image of the video ...!!

any clever answer will be welcome.

This is directly from the DVD2SVCD Forums:

    1. In the misc. tab select DVD2SVCD Level = Advanced
    2. In the CD Image tab select "Don't make images"
    3. In the bbMPEG tab under Advanced Settings DoubleClick on MPEG2 (not dvd, as bbmpeg wont create dvd compliant streams)
    4. In the CCE tab under Advanced Settings Select "Close all GOPs"
    5. In the bitrate tab change the cd sizes to 1024. Set the max. bitrate to 6500 and min to 2000 and max. avg to 6000
    6. In the frameserver tab select resize to "DVD 720*480/576" or "CVD 352*480/576"
    7. In the audio tab select "Do Not Convert Audio"
    8. In the DVD2AVI tab set Luminance Gain to 5

I am however a bit unsure on pt. 5

This was from a discussion @ their forums, hope this is what you were looking for...
