  1. Iīve just captured some files and now I donīt know which codec to use for compressing? - smallest file size - fastest compression - best quality ???

  2. I'd say this depends on what you want to do with the material?
Put it on a (S)VCD or DVD? Watch it on a computer? Stream it over the Web?

  3. Maybe it sounds funny, but I would like to make a VCD and also watch on PC (put the avi file on CD) - I already captured to 352x288 in hope to get a faster rendering

  5. Thanx, I tried it, but the size is really too big - a clip of 30 secs (352x288) is around 100 megs - so I own only a 80 gig HD
the uncompressed avi has 180 megs, so itīs only the half size

  6. Well, if you want to create a (S)VCD, you don't have much leeway in your choice of formats: you need to use MPEG-1 (or MPEG-2 for SVCD) for your file.
