Conversion to different codec produces jumpy video.

I am using mediastudio to capture my video and it will only capture type 1 video. I need to convert this video using a different codec so I can make a SVCD in CCE to play on my DVD player. CCE will not accept any type 1 or 2 video. When I convert this video to a different codecsusing Mediastudio I get very jumpy video when I play on my computer screen. I have tried reversing the field orders with no improvement. Any help????. Is there a program to convert to a good codec for CCE. Which codec should I use. I have used various codecs with similar results. I have installed the huffy codec into mediastudio and converted my video to huffy and I get the jumpy results??

HuffyUV is a good codec for editing because it's lossless and not as huge as uncompressed AVI, but it usually won't play smoothly. That's normal. If you convert it to MPEG it should play fine (unless there are other problems).
