how to hide a folder in windows xp?

Right-Click, Properties, Click "Hidden" under "Attributes".
Done. -
you can also try to put some ascii on the name but that means you can only access the folder from the command console. not sure if it still works on XP but it's also a nice trick to show to the kids: "Betcha can't get inside that folder!"
Also: Use it on extreme cases 'coz the other appz won't acess the folder either
