i recently downloaded a movie in vcd format, and the picture is a little too red and the audio is awful, the audio has a hiss like it was recorded with an external microphone.

is there any way i can convert the .dat file and extract the audio with virtual dub, and then maybe run the audio through some kind of noise gate or some other kind of filter.

    thanks

I do know if you extract the video with DVD2AVI, you can load the avi into Gold Wave, run it through its noise reduction filter. Maybe you should give that a shot.

Vdub will load .dat files (Mpeg 1) load it in and save out the audio for www.goldwave.com
