Hi,
I have the above video capture card and an ageing Pentium 2 running at 350mhz with Win 98. I have decided it is time to upgrade the PC, but was wondering about compatibility between my capture card and processors such as Pentium 4 or Athlon. I would prefer to go the Athlon route (due to cost), something like a 2000+, but if my DC10 is not compatible then I will have to consider other options.
Also will my DV10 be compatible with windows XP if I upgrade my OS?
Thanks in anticipation for any response.
Colin

Ok... the only thing that matters in your choices of hardware is the mainboard and its chipset... I really don't know any compatibilty issues between mainboards and this capture card, but i remember that i read something about troubles with some Via chipset. i don't remenber what chipset...
I think that the newest mainboards of the best manufactors will show no issues....
The CPU doesn't count in this kind of question... this is no compatibility problems caused by CPU, instead of you're thinking in buy that crap Cyrix!
I just bought an Athlon XP 1700+ and an Asus A7S333 and i didn't made any compatibility research, i not tested thi yet, so help me god!
This card works fine under windows xp using the newest drivers! Don't worry about thist.
