I recently purchased a Toshiba SD 2800 (I still have time to take it back). I'm happy with the quailty in playing commerical DVDs and with its ability to play VCDs that I encoded with TMPEG and burned with NERO. However; I wanted to be able to make higher quality discs and I see that the Toshiba SD 2800 is listed as being able to play XVCD's. I made an XVCD using a bit rate of 4000 kbits/sec but the audio was terrible (jerky and stop-go) but the video seemed to o.k. Has anyone successfully burned and played an XVCD for this player and if so, I'd appreciate any hints in how you did this? Or do I need to take it back and get another player? If so, I'd appreciate any suggestions here?
Thanks.

most likely this player won't play XVCD's past 3000 bitrate and be glas it can even do that, I shopped around to find a DVD player that play bitrates up to 7000 and I have found 2 so far
Daewoo 5800 - $89 Sams Club good Quality all around
Sampo 631CF - $169 ($30 rebate) just a tade below daewoo in quality
Most of the other players I have tried either did 3000 or very few a 3500.
