Data track on a VCD?

Is it possible to put a data track on a vcd? Specifically, I'd like to put a batch file that would launch mediaplayer and load the dat file. Failing that, I'd like to put some freeware vcd/dvd software on the track.

If this is not possible, I'll just drop VCD idea altogether and go with a data cd and mpegs + auto-run. I'd like the video to play on stand alone dvd players though
