I loaded a .cue file up w/ CDRWin and burned the .bin file onto a CD and when I put it into my DVD player (Samsung DVD-S221, which I know is compatible with SVCDs) there is no audio and no video, even though the CD is playing. I tried a DVD out in the player and it works so I'm assuming there's nothing wrong with the player itself. Any ideas of where I could've gone wrong? Thanks..

Will it play in DVD player on PC ??(if you have one)
Can you open the CD on your PC cd drive or dvd drive and read the directory structure??
If yes there should be a large dat file in the MPEGAV folder....thats the movie....windows media player should play that dat file like any other media file...
If you can't view it on PC then chances are its been corupted or burnt wrong ...goto ...

And see if thats what you did -
OK, its not reading the disc at all, I can't open it up or explore it on my computer. Those are the directions I followed so should I just try reburning it and pray? Thanks for the quick reply...
Oh yea, could it be a problem with my disc? Do you have to use a certain disc for it to work? -
I get some disc that just error...dont know if its a fact defect or what...And of course..not every burn is a sucess..
For the PC to read ..no certain disc required...however some stand alones will read one type and not another....But dont worry about that till you get it to work on PC first. -
I would get VCDgear from tools section on left .....
Use that to Convert the bin?cue back to a mpg file.....
Try to watch the mpg with media player....If you cant...the file is probly the problem...get rid of it.
If you can watch it...Use the mpg and Burn that to VCD using Nero>select VCD as type when it starts up...Nero will setup VCD format automaticly...
also I've seen people having problems with CD's that were not finalized....make sure that you check "finalize cd". When it done check the disc for several folders and files....there should be the dat file in the MPEGAV folder I asked about earlier...
If you use a CDRW you can do this over and over til you figure out what is wrong....
If several diferent programs/ methods don't work then there would have to be a common factor....And we'd have to go through what is done step by step to discover.
