Ok if you have all the codec's but just in-case you don’t, install the Nimo codec pack.

    http://nimo.everwicked.com/ http://perso.wanadoo.fr/nimo/

Then load one of the AVI's into Vdub, any problems ?

If you try to covert to mpeg 1 with TMPGEnc do you get any problems ?, you can stop it after a few minuets to check the mpeg it makes.

You need to find out what your DVD player will play....

Also get Vdub AC3, and Vdub MP3

You need to find out what your player will work with, both CD-R and CDR-W, then its up to you what you use. Cheap = CDR
