I have a Pioneer DV-440 and have noticed that all of the VCDs that I've made with Nero don't display any time information on the front panel. Plus, pressing the 'display' button on the remote would only say "PLAY" on the screen without any time information. I seem to recall seeing posts recently on this site about people wanting a time display. Since a lack of time info doesn't bother me, I never read any of those threads. But, by pure accident, I discovered an interesting feature on the DV-440. I found that if I started playing a disk by pressing the FWD button on the front panel that elapsed track time is displayed. Then, pressing the 'display' button on the remote will cycle through all the typical time data. Oddly, starting a disk by pressing FWD on the remote does not yield the same results. Just thought I'd share this tidbit.
