ok i tried disabling my cable connection and shtting down some other background progs and i still get the chirps that happen exactly the same time as video digital noise ie. greeen splotch on the picture for less than a second. the chirps are very loud. it happens with several movies ive downloaded sum of all fears, enough, minority report... these were all the best rips according to vcdquality.com.

what i did was this, downloaded the files, extracted the rar files to a bin/cue file. used daemon tools to mount the image file so i could extract the .DAT file from the mpeg folder of the bin/cue vcd. and then i watch the .DAT file with windows media player for win xp.

did i mess up the file by using daemon tools?? do .DAT files mess up when watching them??? are these movies just "chirpy/video noisy" ?? can i convert the .DAT files to mpeg and then maybe demultiplex them and work on the audio with a prog. or maybe a re encode of the .DAT or .mpg file with tmpgenc. i deleted the bin/cue files after i got the .DAT file to save my limited hard drive space. so maybe i need to download the movies again and burn the bin/cue and use my dvd player to play the vcd or svcd. im not sure what the most effective or easiest method would be to resolve this issue.

thanks for your time and patience
