Ok, i got through the newbie guide finally with Happy Gillmore. I got it clear to the point where I have the two mpeg files. Then, I tried to burn the cd with VCDEasy, And I can't see any mpeg, or executable files on the cd. Did it burn wrong? I can't play using any media player, or realplayer, or anything like that, it just doesn't recognize anything relevant on the cd.
So, am I using the wrong software, or did I screw up somewhere in DVDEeasy. Should I try using divx? I am very new to this and just need someone to point me in the right direction.
Question #2 has to deal with the quality and resolution of the ripped dvd. When playing the mpeg file of Happy Gillmore in Media Player, I noticed that I had a very low quality, low resolution deal. Is there some process in TMPGenc or any of that software that allows you to increase the quality?
Thanks a lot for all help, sorry for posting this extremely newbie post, but then again, this is the newbie forum.

The easiest way to check is to open with a Software DVD player. PowerDVD or something like that. You can also open the *.inf files from within Windows Media Player. Try that before thinking you encoded wrong.

Ok, thank you a lot. Can someone tell me how to increase the quality? Question #2?

The resolution Cannot be changed for VideoCD. It can be encoded as a Super VideoCD, that will increase resolution, but is not compatible with a lot of stand alone DVD players. To help with VideoCD quality, while encoding with TMPGEnc, make sure that uder Settings, the Motion Search Precision is set to highest quality.
