    Recently burnt a dvd using SpruceMaestro and of course plays fine on everything except my Mac. I am running dual operating systems OS9.2 and OSX it will play on OSX because i have DVD Studio Pro... I dont know all the ins and outs of Mac use yet. Anyway i tried it on a friends Mac OS9.2 and it wouldnt even recognise the disk...?I am a bit lost do any of you MAC smart people know what the hell is going on.. IM LOST.

    Is your friends Mac one of the old slot loading ones? (like the iMac DV)

    There is a known compatability issue with DVD-R (General) and older Mac drives. If I find the link again I'll post it back here..

    Yes it is a slot loading Mac which would probably explain that...but I am actually not using General Media but DVD-R authoring Media could that be the problem?

    funny....DVD Authoring is supposed to be the most compatable of the lot...even with 1st gen DVD players. After burning, DVD-R(A) should be logically identical and phisically identical to a pressed DVD (as far as the players laser pickup is concerned anyway)

    all it was was that i didnt have the proper dvd player installed on OS9 found one deep in the apple archives. So thanks guys.
