Hi. I have a ATI all i wonder RADEON capture card. i want to know if there is a TV program (not the included with the card) that alow me to capture and disable macrovision. for example, i have the StarWars Trilogy in VHS, and i want to backup it to VCD. i tried the first time when i bought ATI, and of course it didnt work. but, i want to know if there is a software capable of capture without this problem.
Tks.

Try "DisableATIMacrovision" tool. It works perfectly on my 7500 All In Wonder. Now I can cap my old tapes, then sell the original tapes on eBay so I can pay for the card...

I just have to offer a "thumbs-down" on this tool. It caused problems for me. It also doesn't remove ALL forms of macrovision (there is more then one. You'll probably find an external box a more reliable option.
But if it does work for you, never mind... -
Hauppauge WinTV-Go, has no macrovision hardware built into it,
which ATI does... No problems with it what so ever. Check into it.
The above hacks simply disable the Macrovision hardware in the
ATI cards. Else the Video Clearifier IE: Macro stripper is your
only other choice.
Good luck -

It works fine on my system. Oh yes, although it works well on my 10 - 15 year old VHS tapes I haven't tried it on my DVD players yet. Come to think of it, how would I test it as I have no current players that are not all region free and macrovision disabled. Gotta love Apex...
