  1. I'm trying to rip the simpsons episodes from DVD and back them up to a DVD-r. Oviously, since the original discs are too long, the episodes need to be broken up, and spread to a fourth disc.
I've been looking and haven't found any guides on how to rip the indidvidual episodes from multi-episode discs. Could someone who has done it give me the rundown? I can back up single movies with no problem, but this is new territory for me.

    Thanks,

  2. - Open VTS_xx_1 of feature in DVD2AVI and generate a .d2v file using the Save Project menu item under File.
    - Launch TMPGEnc and enter the .d2v file name in the Video source. Press Setting Button (in the lower right area of the main window) > Advanced tab > double click Source Range. A window will open to scan through the feature frame-by-frame until you locate the beakpoint you want.
    - Start IfoEdit, and load the VTS_xx_0.IFO of the main movie VOB's.
    - Select: 'VOB-Extras -> Split to 2 DVD-Rs'. Select the location for the break (the default is the layer break).
