  1. How do I extract a movie (without extras and etc) from a DVD, and subsequently burn it onto a DVD-R?

What do I do if the movie itself is larger than 4.38GB?

I've tried searching these boards, but I cannot find a straightforward guide to what I am looking to do.

    Thanks

http://www.dvd2dvdr.com/ seems pretty complete to me ....

even using dvd2svcd works fine for over 4.7gig dvd's source for an easy way -- just change the bit rate to fit below 4.7gig (hint: set at 6cd's x 700meg for a 120 minute movie, allows for audio) and dont have it make cd images and change re-size to dvd and set setting to save all file .. take the completed mpeg2 file and the extracted ac3 file (or use the re-encoded mpa file depending on your authoring app) and away you go ..
