my problem is this: i have several episodes of an anime show in mpeg-1 format at 24 frames per second (23.976 or whatever) which i want to burn onto one dvd-r. however, every authoring program i have tried rejects the files because of the frame rate.
i don't want to convert them to 29.97 because when they interlace they look bad. i can't seem to flag them for 3:2 pulldown in any manner that produces a working dvd. i tried tricking various authoring programs (dvdit pe, spruceup) into accepting dummy files, saving the project, and switching the files. but the software discovers what i've done when building the vob files. and i tried replacing the streams in ifoedit, but i get an unplayable dvd (the sound skips and the video freezes up).
i know i haven't gone into great detail of how i tried each method, but i wanted to give a general outline first. if anyone knows a way to author and burn a dvd-r with 24fps mpeg-1, i would appreciate the help. if any more information is needed, i will supply it.
thanks in advance.
