Help with DVD movies

Right now i got was able to use Smartripper to put my DVD movies into the HD , i would like to know if i need the ASPI program with the Smartripper for what is the ASPI, also the DVD movie i put in my hardrive are 4GB long for only 2 hrs can anyone tell me how i can make them into smaller so it wouldn't take that much of my HD, and a program that can join movie clips into one movie, i tried to use windows movie maker but only the audio no pictures, and last does anyone have a program that can make the audio clear when i join movies clips into one the audio seem to get worst does anyone have a program for that, thank you i would appreciate any help, i new to his im trying to put all my DVD movies so everyone can download them thank you.

The DVD is 4Mb and is 2 hours long ?? I think something is very wrong there ?? your sure its not 4GB ????

You can use Vdub and select an audio and video codec then save out another AVI at a much smaller size 2Mb perhaps

Vdub can also join movies (AVI) and TMPGEnc can join mpeg 1 (.MPG)

To make your audio better use www.goldwave.com (Get MP3 plug-ins as well) it can load the audio from an AVI, or you can save it out in Vdub first.

You may need "Vdub AC3" (kazaa) if you ripped the audio as AC3
