I have an avi that I am trying to convert to VCD. However. When I try to convert it using TMPEGEnc, I get to 1% and the following prompt appears:
Illegal Floating Decimal Point Calculation Order.
Does anyone know what has happened and how I can fix this?

the source file you are using has an error in it, so you probably have to do it in 2 parts using the source range option in TMPGEnc: the part before the error, and use the source range to find the first frame after the error.

Exorcist.
Thanks for the info, but im not sure that I follow what you are saying. Can you explain the process to me please? Or perhaps point me towards a tutorial that will cover this.
Thanks again.Yours,

Load the file in Virtual Dub. Select Scan Video Stream for Errors. Then delete any bad frames. Save the file and then continue where you left off.
Hello. -
Tommyknocker,
I have been unable to find out how to Scan the file for errors. Can you tell me how to scan the file for errors?
Thanks.

Load your video into VDub. Go to Video-->Scan video stream for errors. If you have any errors VDub will detect them. Send me a message if any are reported.
Hello. -
TommyKnocker,
What version of VirtualDub are you using? I am using version 1.4.7 and cannot see that option under video.
Do I need a later version?
