Audio quality of .wav produced by DVD2AVI 1.74

I have noticed that the .wav file output from DVD2AVI is not so good, it is very low volume and when I recombine the audio/video in TMPGenc the audio too low, is it an issue to fix it in TMPGenc or an output problem in DVD2AVI? I have Goldwave and could work over the .wav to increase volume but that would take days cause the .wav is over 1 GB. Is I use the VCD template in TMPGenc so it presets the audio output at 44,000/228 bit I think, so I am thinking it the a problem with DVD2AVI that I need to tweak a setting or something. Any Ideas? thanks

I typically use CoolEdit to "normalize" the audio as I've had the same problem. Some folks will go so far as to select specific, low volume portions of the audio rip to amplify, but that's too much work for my taste .

Would suggest you check that 48->44.1KHZ is set to "ultra high" and that you should check (tick) and adjust the normalization to a higher number.
You might also consider updating DVD2AVI to version 1.76
