  1. Hi all, wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to make a backup of one of my dvd's. I'm following the howto guide on this site and have installed dvdx and have selected the longest time on the dvd root and o.k'd it.

Next I've clicked on settings>output settings in order to select video server as the premier plugin, however all that is listed in that box is "not enabled".

Does anyone know where I'm going wrong? I've downloaded dvdx v2 and have tmpgenc v2.54 and have also downloaded and installed the vfapi plugin into the tmpgenc folder.

    Be grateful for any advice

  2. You need to install the VideoServerPlugin that came with the DVDx file.
However, I honestly haven't been able to make the DVDx-TMPGenc combo to work. When I browse TMPGenc to look for the IPSERVER.avi file that DVDx produces, it gives an error that win2k halts it.

    Try this: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdx-tmpg.htm

    Good luck!
