  1. There is a post on the website here that is a guide for changing the ATI registry keys using MMC 7.0. My question is this only for Radeon boards or can you use it with an older ATI all in wonder board? I have an ATI AIW that I bought in 1997/1998 but it is not based on the Radeon chip. I think I am currently using MMC 5.24 with the card right now. Any advice on this would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Hey, I don't have a card as old as yours (I don't think)
but I don't have the RADEON and mine works GREAT!!!

However, I'm using MMC 7.1. You may want to get that
off the ATI website. If you don't want to change the
bitrates, then there is even a button for Video CD in
the capture settings box! Really nice...

(You still can get higher bitrates on video CD's by
going into the registry and turning on the "videocd"
key after creating your custom MPEG-1 setting)

    I hope that helps!

  3. I was unsuccessful following the instructions for loading the ATI settings and MMC 7.1. I deleted everything ATI and tried to load the new radeon drivers and I kept getting a sever error reported by ATI install saying that "could not find a compatible display adapter" I tried reloading the display adapter to standard VGA and still no go. What am I missing here?

  4. You need install drivers for your card.
ATI's drivers is not unified like a NVidia's drivers

  5. which all-in-wonder card is it? if it's the 4Mb one with a BT819 tuner chip on it, it's too old to work with MMC 7.1. if it's an AIW 128 it should be fine. and some of the later AIW Pro 8Mb had the BT829 tuner, which should be ok with MMC 7.1, or at least 6.3.

if you have a TV-wonder, that's a different MMC to get. if you have the old AIW, check on ATI's site for the latest MMC or ATI TV Player

  6. Well it looks like I am using the 4mb card from ATI. I guess I am out of luck unless someone else has another idea. "short of buying a new card". Thanks for everyones input.
