  1. OK, might sound silly, but I've got CCE 2.5 but haven't got a clue how to use it !!!

TMPGEnc seems easier to use, although I've heard that CCE is quicker, is there a guide anywhere ?

  3. I don't use CCE, the guides for TMPGEnc seemed to give the path of least resistance for me.

  6. Hello and I would like to start out by saying that this site and forum are great!
I have just gotten a copy of CCE and am attempting to use it. I have followed the guide in the link here and am running into problems at star frame server. It brings up the window after I select the star frame server, after I have resized the avi file and says that it is changing the file to .vdr. However nothing happens after that. It just sits there. If I use the cce to try and open the .vdr file that appears its only 17kb in size and cce doesn't open it even if I ** the file to open it.
Whats going on here. Is vdub not converting this file?
I am able to strip out the wave file from the orginal avi and am able to strip the avi from the orginal as well.
I have checked the forums and not found anything.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thx.
    J.

  9. Yes I am. When you are saving the .vdr file are you putting the .vdr extension at the end because that is what I have to do or else it saves it without an extension.

  10. Thx for all the information. I have now read up on all these guides. I lot of information I might add! Now I am moving along quite nicely. I am having a bit of a problem with trying to figure out if I want to get an AMD processor PC or stick with a P3. I know that the AMD has a faster Front Side Bus but I have been reading that CCE doesn't play well with AMD processors. Is this the case?
    Thx for the help.
