  1. Ok. There seems to be alot of ways to rip a DVD movie to divx. Why does the movies that i dowload from the internet look much better than my own ripped movies. My question is what method gives the best quality and is there a guide for it? Everyone is looking for the best settings to make the perfect DivX movie from their DVD and it would be great if someone could give us newbies a hand.

  2. I have to agree - I have tried several methods as outlined in the guides and for the Phantom Menace I was getting audio dropout at regular intervals - the picture was good but what is the point without sound.

If anyone can provide the best combo and settings then I for one would be very grateful. I have seen some cracking DVD rips from the net and I would like to be able to do the same.

    Cheers
