I Like to make a "joke" VCD (or it could be in some other format, but, I prefer VCD) for a friend. and I want to know is there any way to have a VCD to play it's video in reverse while playing forward?

Or, to put in another way, capture/convert/burn a video file in reverse so that the last frame shot is the first frame to play?

You could extract all the frames in the video using Virtualdub and then re-make the video inputting the frames backwards. You could do this with virtualdub but it would take a lot of work. But you could use Jasc Animation Shop 3 to do it a lot faster but it would still take some time and work...

You can use Avisynth to edit the video.

    AviSource("d:\dir\filename.avi").Reverse

I am pretty sure, that you can do that with every video editor.
