i used to have a Toshiba sd1102 i think it was, it was a 8 x DVD rom 8 X CDR and i made it Region Free by upgreading the firmware i cant remember exactly where i found the new firmware, but keep doing searches in a search engine for stuff like Toshiba DVD rom and Region Free DVD rom, stuff like that and look for the firmware which makes it Region Free.

A WORD OF WARNING IF YOU DO THIS WRONG AND I MEAN EVEN AN ACCIDENTAL KEY PRESS YOU WILL TOTALLY RUIN THE DVD ROM TRUST ME I KNOW I HAVE DONE IT MYSELF ON ANOTHER ROM BECAUSE I WAS IN A RUSH AND DIDN'T READ EVERYTHING THROUGH.

This site has almost every possible firmware revision for any PC DVD Player available. The firmware revisions also make your PC DVD player Region-free.
