Has anybody a firmware to make the DVD listed bellow region free:

    TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H352C

I need to make it region free to rip DVDs I brought from Europe. I found something (http://forum.rpc1.org/viewtopic.php?p=177588) but I always get an error that the firmware does not match my DVD drive.

    Thanks

    No you don't.

Just rip them. Region codes only affect playback.

    DVD Decrypter reports

"Logical unit region code has not been set!
This can cause errors when trying to decrypt a disc.
Would you like to set the region code now?"

    If I ignore it says:

"Logical unit region code has not been set!
The slower 'Brute Force' cracking methods will be used if I/O Key Exchange fails.
Visit http://www.rpc1.org for REgion Free (RPC Phase I) Firmware"

    So

    1) Should I set a region code and what happens then?
    2) What happens if I rip and ignore all of the above warnings?

    Thanks

Use DVDFAB HD DECRYPTER to rip the european dvd discs. DVD DECRYPTER is no longer updated for the last what 2-3 years now.
