  1. don't know how to describe this one, but every time i capture from my tv-card, i've got a problem that sharp edges or fine structures in the captured video have ugly "color artifacts", little coloured lines that come and go. i know it's a problem related to tv broadcast and pal (u can even see those edge-lines on a stand alone tv).

    my question: how can i remove these annoying lines? the only method working in virtualdub is "tv (IQ/5x5 avg/temporal soften). this filter blows the lines away BUT THERE ARE SOME "GHOST"-EFFECTS instead (fast moving parts in the movie throw a ghost image behind)

    i realized that my english suxxx big time. sorry. pls try to help anyway. btw, tv-system is PAL.

  2. Yes, use VirtualDub --> filters --> gaussian blur.

    i'll try it. but doesn't blur mean "unsharp"? i capture 480x576 for svcd...
