  1. Hi, I converted a 24min DivX-->VCD using the perfect guide on this website. I followed every step, made sure my fps and everything was correct. I did not convert the avi using the wrong setting it was a NTSCFilm file to NTSCFilm!
The problem is when i go to play the VCD on my DVD player it will start playing the audi and the movie only the movie will stop moving for 1-2secs, skip some frames, and start moving again! This happens about every5-6secs.
My DVD player is a JVC XV-421. I've tried using VCDEasy and Nero to burn my VCD but i have the same problem every time! PLZ Help!

    Just some thoughts for now:

The mpeg plays fine on your pc before you burn it?
Your DVD player accepts vcd at 24 fps (mine skips unless its 29.97)
Did nero compalin about compliance and did you try to let it fix it for you.

    It Skipped on both

Did nero compalin about compliance and did you try to let it fix it for you
    Nero didn't complain

-I'm beggining to think it's my dvd player, but if you have any more advice for things i could do on the software side of things i'd be more than happy to hear it!

  4. I figured out my problem!
Turns out that my DVD player didn't like the brand of CD-Rs I was using!!
I tried burning a different brand of CDR the same way i did with the ones that didn't work, and it worked
