I've heard of decent quality DVD-RW drives like the Cendyne one, going at prices of $250 or less. But I've never seen them at that price. So which sites have these decent and cheap DVD-RW drives??

Until now the only one I've seen is the toshiba DVD-RAM drive at www.esbuy.com for $230.But the thing is supposed to only be compatable with DVD-RAM discs only so that's fairly useless.

I want at least a DVD burner that can use DVD-Rs and DVD-RWs.

http://www.pricewatch.com/ is your friend. Do a search on "DVR-A04" (the retail Pioneer DVD-RW) or "DVR-104" (the OEM version). You'll have to go through a few pages of media that says "compatible with DVR-A04", but then you'll find quite a few places selling them for around $250. I'd recommend checking the vendors against http://www.resellerratings.com/, I think it's worth paying a few dollars more to deal with a place that treats people well.

And, just for reference, the bigpockets drive shows as 199 GBP, which converts to over $300US.

That's pounds--not US dollars, also no software.

Thinks for the advice As for the bigpockets site, well darn I though that 199 meant $199,not $300.That sucks.

  7. Try bidding on one at ebay. But don't bid if the price is more than what it costs on retail.
