please could anyone help me,i have just purchased a pioneer dvdr A04 with 5 branded dvdr's.
I have just used Smart Ripper on a Fith Element dvd to make a backup and ripped the vob files to my h/drive,i was then gonna burn the first 3 vob files to one disk and the second 3 vob files to the second disc as they all added up to 5.85gb using Prassi PrimoDVD2.0,after i did the first disk i put it in my standalone Pioneer DV525 dvd player and it said on the tv screen ,cannot play dvd?
could anyone tell me what i have done wrong please?

Not sure exactly what your problem is did you burn 2 the root of your dvd
did you follow the guides here or at doom-9. and did you use ifoedit and save all then check with ifoedit player (great little tool) then if that works go on and burn.
hope i helped

Yeah, this ain't the way things work. You just can't copy some .VOB files onto a DVD-R, then stick it into the DVD player and expect it to work - life isn't that easy. A DVD player is really a pretty dumb animal, so you have to tell it how to walk, how to breath and even how to open its eyes. This means that you must author a DVD-R so that the player knows what to do with your files. Do a search for DVD authoring progs that will let you import .VOB files. This will ease your life.
