Moonlight MPEG Stream Explorer is a visual tool designed for MPEG video encoder developers to quickly analyze MPEG-compliant video streams. Its based on Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder, Elecard MPEG2 Demultiplexer DS Filters and on Moonlight MPEG2 Index Creator.
Main features are:
Determine average, peak, and instant bit rate values of the video stream;
Control visual quality of individual pictures;
View individual picture type, size, time stamp;
Build video stream index for instant frame-accurate positioning;
Compare several streams visually by picture quality and picture size.
Moonlight MPEG Stream Explorer displays a video stream picture by picture (I, P, and P pictures as they appear in stream order) together with average, declared (according to MPEG sequence header), and instant bit rate graphs. The whole graph could be scaled and zoomed for ease of analysis and navigation.
