  1. i have dvcII.. a sony hanycam dc-110e, windows xp, 192mb ram, 80gb 7200rpm hd, nvidia 61 mb.

i capture and produce my video using the dvd template, afterwards i convert it to .AVI using TMPGENC the reason for the conversion is that i would like to edit it using pinnacle studio which can only work with .avi files.. after the conversion . .and editing with pinnacle studio i convert it to vcd format using TMPGENC...

now the question.. am i doing this thing right? or is there a better way? a shorter way perhaps?

    thanks in advance

What format are you doing the capture in? Is there some reason why your not capturing it in .AVi format in the first place?
