Data must be captured from existing VHS videotapes.
(Successfully using Belkin VideoBus II capture from VCR tape for this.)
Need to produce video on CD to be read by Windows Media Player
on various standalone desktops by inexperienced users.
Videos are from 15 mins to 2 hours long.
Currently using VideoWave 4 and Easy CD Creator 5.
PROBLEM: It is a two-step, l-o-n-g process to get the video from the tape to the CD. Must capture it first, bringing it into VideoWave, paste it onto storyboard, then produce. Video capture is in slower-than-real-time and production is, too..
..so, a 20 min tape takes 1.5 hours to produce. This is not acceptable.![]()
I need a software that will capture directly from USB device to HD, without editing, fast.
Anyone know of a solution for me?
Thanks in advance for MUCH appreciated help!

You can use Ulead Videostudio, but the quality of real-time mpeg compression is not great. But with a fast PC, and using high bit rate, the quality is OK.
