  1. I've looked at the comparison between Video Studio 6 and Media Studio on their site, but has anyone used both and can give me info on what they 'don't say', if you know what I mean

MS gives you multi track editing, but a lot less transitions (don't know about filters). VS gives you lots of those, for instance, but don't know why MS doesn't.

How about stability? or, with my not having done much besides recording so far, what can I get into with MS that I can't with VS? Would I need both? I've used the VS trial and VS SE.

    Thanks.

Are you talking about MS "Director's Cut? You might be, because the full MS gives 113 transition effects to the 112 that VS has. The MSC version only has 35.

The full version of MS or MSC? It's important to say which, since one (MS) gives you a good value for $500 and the other (MSC) for $200. VS gives you a good value for $100, and might serve well if you don't need the additional features (refer to that comparison chart link above).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. Ah yes, it's the director's cut I was talking about. At the price, I kinda ignored the full version. So the comparison is MD/DC and VS.

What might I be able to _create_ with MS/DC that couldn't be done in VS? or the other way around?

    Thanks.
