I would take the -R/RAM for sure (have one!). The -R blanks are relatively inexpensive and the resulting disk has compatibility with a large number of players. I don't expect to use th RAM feature.

i am still not understanding fully.... so let me give u a example of what i mean..... ps2 has "DVD ROM" on all of its disk.... also i thought i have seen that on a couple of regular dvd players..... i guess what i am asking is DVD-R OR DVD ROM more compatible...... the reason i am also asking this is because on the dvdr/ram disk i got i find out that it dont record cd-r or cd-rw and the rom/rw does..... so i want to see of dvd rom is more compatible anyway so i can try (AND HOPE) circuit city exchange this drive
