    I would love to rip some dvd's but do not have a dvd-rom drive. I have a mpeg-2 codec though. What else do i need, thanks, JOno.

    If you read the guides listed on the site then they will give you a good idea of what you need but without sounding patronising - to read a DVD you WILL need a DVD-ROM Drive...
