  4. hi,

I had a problem too with SmartRipper- when I ripped "Proof of life" the audio was 10 seconds ahead of the video. I ripped the same movie with DVD Decrypter and didn't have any problems. It seems that the .vob(s) that had the end of the movie didn't get copied.

    So try DVD Decrypter.

  5. also, with SmartRipper you can select Files/Select All then rip the dvd to get all the files- then make sure that you load ALL the vobs into DVD2AVI and just delete the ones that aren't part of the main movie.

  7. I had the problem once only mine left out the beginning. DVD Decryptor did the job though. Your last post may be the answer. You don't use DVD2AVI. Why not, I believe it helps TMPGENC read the vobs - try it & your problem should be solved.
    Good luck.

  8. I had that problem if u use the demux to extra file make sure your file size is set to 9000mb and not 4000mb as is smartrippers default. Then run it again.

  9. Had the exact same problem, and eventually found out what the problem was.

The dvd's tha cut off without the end are usually the ones that use protection.

I found that if i used dvddcrypter to rip the every thing from the dvd on to my hard drive then used smart ripper to make it into m2v file and then burnt with spruceup,it cured the problem.

Probably an easier way to to it but that works for me.

  10. I also had the same problem not getting the whole movie missing 30 or 40 minutes. How did you get Smartripper to read the vob files from your hard drive when you used dvd decrypter? I thought smartripper always looks for a disk in the dvd drive? How do you get it to read the folder on the drive with VOB files to convert to m2v and ac3 files.
    Thanks

  13. Just realised that you can make an m2v and ac3 file using dvd decrypter, just right click on the highlighted movie files and then chose stream and then demux to txtra file
