ok I was watching a divx movie in the divx player and it came to a runtime error in the middle of the movie.

I decided I might as well use divfix to strip the index and rebuild it to see if it would fix the problem.
this is where it gets interesting, after doing so the divx player freezes when loading the movie.

So I think ok how about I try to cut out the bad parts with divfix which has a "keep the origrinal file" check box which I checked and now the movie is completely screwed. the divfix program made a .divfix file but the original avi file I was trying to fix is completely wrecked.

please give me advice or explain to me what I may have done wrong

    I was using divfix 1.07
thanx for your help in advance
