Does this have a coaxial hook up and what is better this or the 1500 apex model? Can u tell me any experiences. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

No, they're not the same. Coax is the cable that the cable tv company runs into your house. It's usually black and has a screw-on connector. The connector has a tiny, copper conductor in the center, less than the thickness of a paperclip. The rca connector is usually connected to the video or audio jacks on your vcr or dvd or stereo or tv. It's usually a push-on connection and has a center conductor that's about an 1/8" or 1/16" thick (maybe like the thickness of a round plastic coffee stir). Hope that helps.
