Hello: I just got a Pioneer 104 DVD burner. I am trying to follow the guides for splitting a large DVD-9 to 2 DVD's. I can do the simple way: Rip, use IfoEdit to split to two DVD's, then use IfoEdit to create two new VIDEO_TS.IFO's. This creates two DVD's with just the main movie - no menus and no extras. The disks just start playing when inserted into a player.
I am totally confused on how to keep extras and chapter selections. I do not really care about chapters but I would like to keep some of the extras.
If the main movie is say vts_o1_x.vobs and I copy extras vts_o5_1.vob and vts_06_x.vobs into the same directory, is there a simple tool to use to allow either the main movie or the two extras to be selectable on a stand-alone DVD player? I cannot get IfoEdit to make a new VIDEO_TS.IFO that includes them all. I am guessing an authoring toll is the only way - but then I guess I have to demux also - to use the authoring tool. I hope there is an easier way.
Thanks in advance.
