I have the same problem one month ago, then I see in the forum that others users had problems like this, then sugested to use PRIME95 to see if is memory problem. Im my case, after 2 hours PRIME95 stopped, giving "hardware problem foud" message.
I replaced my memory and the problem was gone until now.
See if you have the same problem, and my sugestion is that you left PRIME95 work by one night.

    Good luck !

  3. I'm pretty new to this so flame me if this is a stupid question but i remember reading that a fat32 file system had problems with large files specially wihen converting thwm. So make sure you loaded XP on an ntfs file system. Again ignore this if i'm being an ass but i did load xp pro on a fat 32 and could do nothing with dvdr's till i converted to ntfs.

Fat 32 has no problem with large file sizes, on the other hand ntfs has got major problems especialy when it comes to large hard drives. The only sure way to beat the problems with ntfs is to partition your hard drive into more managable sections(20gig or so) roughly.
    Hope this helps.
