Check the Divx for bad frames with Vdub, if it finds any, save out another copy using Video > Direct stream copy Audio > Direct stream copy

  3. I had a similar problem. My video drive is formatted at NTFS and my C drive is Fat 32. So in tmpGenc it was saving the temp files to c:\ and locking up do to the 2 gig file limit? Well I changed it in Option/environmental to my e:\ drive and that seams to have solved it.

    Hope that helps

i check with VirtualDub for bad frames and it says that the DivX doesn't have bad frames, but has 0 frames undecodable..mmm not sure what this means.

It means there is nothing wrong, however... Since you know there is something wrong I would save out another copy anyway.

    Video > Direct stream copy
    Audio > Direct stream copy
    SAVE AVI

Well since progress forces changes everyday, it is not possible to become anything other than a newbie
