  1. Hi,
I have Sony DCR-TRV320 NTSC Camcorder and it has DV Interface. I bought a Belkin IEEE-1394 PCSI Card for downloading. With that I also got free MGI. I am able to download the recording from Camcorder to my hard disk. But the problem is when I downloaded the files are too big. For just 1 minute it take 320MB. How can I compress this and make a VCD. I want to send this to my country where they have only PAL system. Can anybody please help me out with steps.
    Thanks

  2. Do you have the initial space to take the raw DV file, or is that the problem?

If you have enough disk space, capture it and then write to VCD using the VCD template. Unfortunately it's not the best mpeg encoder in the world, but it's cheap and cheerful.

I capture to Mjpeg AVI and then use TMPGEnc. If you had enough disk space then you could create an uncompressed AVI file and use this to feed into TMPGEnc,..

    Any help?
