I recently bought a DV1000LE firewire card from Dabs.
Since fitting it my machine powers itself back up after shutdown. I have tried all the bios settings that look likely. And I tried moving it to a different PCI slot.
I am using xp pro with an elite P6VAA motherboard.
Anybody got this combination and solved the problem?

Hi Girls! Do you want to see how many press-ups I can do?

I had a similar problem with a netgear ethernet card in an epox 8k7a motherboard. My problem, however, was that it would'nt shut down, if you tried to restart or shut off it would just hang there until you pressed the reset button. I never solved the problem and in the end changed my ethernet card. Changing your card might be the easiest solution, rather than spending hours trying to get incompatible devices to work together.
